2. Students of the Week • SENIOR: • Senior LaKeeyah Mackey demonstratesthe core value of desire and responsibility. Lakeeyah has worked very hard in her college classes and possesses a positive attitude everyday. She serves as a great role model for her peers. • JUNIOR: • Junior Bethany Chestnut shows responsibility by always being prepared for class and preparing for her assignments ahead of time. • SOPHOMORE: • Sophomore Alexis Almager showed desire when she took the time to let her teacher know that she was going to miss class and wanted to schedule a time for her makeup. • FRESHMAN: • FreshmanElizabeth Munoz shows responsibility every day by having her planner out and read for class to begin.

5. Need To Be Out of Class? In an effort to accommodate students’ needs for tutorials, testing, retesting, and professor meetings we have implemented a: Student Activity Request Form If a student is needing to be out of any ECHS@MC class, for academic purposes, you only have to fill out and return your form to Mrs. Murdoch so that all teachers and staff can complete attendance correctly and find you when parents call. Request forms can be found in the manila envelope outside of the teacher workroom.

6. Seniors SENIORS WHO WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COLLEGE ALGEBRA PILOT MUST RETURN THEIR CONTRACT TO MCNEELY THIS WEEK. TUTORIALS BEGIN MONDAY, OCTOBER 29

8. National Honors Society • NHS induction ceremony is Nov 13 • New members must pay $10 fee to be included • Invitations are going out, so get fees paid! • Seniors who are NHS members… • we need your help that night ---- • meeting soon to plan for the induction

9. Yearbook Staff • Want to be a part of this years amazing yearbook? • Pick up an application from Mrs. Hicks • Turn in completed application by Nov. 5th • We have 10 spots available for new staff members

10. College Visits • Make sure you… • Complete a request for college absence form at least 3 days prior to absence • Have your request approved • RETURN your signed request for college absence form with your college brochure • Without each of these steps your absences will be unexcused.

11. Senior Pictures Only 56/80 of our seniors have had their picture taken by Sam Hollis. If you are wanting your senior picture to be in the yearbook you have to get that taken care of. Remember: You do not have to pay for the Basic Yearbook Sitting. Call Sam Hollis at 684-4343 and book your senior photo session today!

12. Leaving School Before 4:10? You MUST… Senior, Juniors, and Sophomores: YOU must sign out in the office & have a parent call Freshman: Your parent is to meet you in the front office and your parent must sign you out. If your parent forgets to sign you out then YOU must sign out and then have a parent call the office. You are responsible for being signed out of school. Any student who does not sign out in the front office prior to leaving campus will serve lunch detention upon return.

13. Youth & Government YMCA Halloween Carnival October 26th 5:30-9:00pm Sign-up by Oct 19th in Ms. Wright's room (no scary costumes)
