  3. Preface • 日常生活中常有許多干涉現象,只是我們時常忽略! For Example : 1. 水中的油漬2. 洗碗精的泡泡3. 魚鱗片的彩色變化4. 蝴蝶翅膀的變幻光彩5. 塑膠射出物上的應力干涉6. 光學鍍膜鏡片上的七彩變幻 7. 蝸牛行走後的黏液…… • 我們選擇觀察昆蟲翅膀上出現的彩虹變化!

Experimental subjects & Parameters Experimental subjects:  我們實驗選用半翅目 (Hemiptera)、蠅科 (Muscidae)、雙翅目 (Diptera) 與膜翅目 (Hymenoptera) 的昆蟲翅膀做為實驗對象。 (註:對象為自行死亡的昆蟲) Experimental Parameters: • White background • Black background Photographic Equipment : • Canon PowerShot SX50 HS (搭配CPLFilter SERIES) • hTC- One SV (搭配微距鏡頭、魚眼鏡頭)

  5. Thin film interference  蝴蝶翅膀本身屬於Photonic Crystal結構,其週期性的網孔奈米結構對可見光(400~700nm)會有響應。  當光照射到翅膀,某些波長的光會因網孔結構產生的能隙使其往特定方向傳播,並反射讓我們看到。  隨著翅膀的受光角度不同就會反射出各種不同的顏色的光!  當從翅膀反射出來的2道光線疊加時,就會看到鮮豔的色彩。  由於翅膀的厚度不均勻,而顏色又是取決於該點的厚度;所以昆蟲的翅膀會顯現出各式各樣的光彩!
