  2. 1953.1 • No update received

  3. 1953.2 • Meeting were held monthly by teleconference call. The were as face to face meeting at the newly formed Flow Informatics and Computational Cytometry Society [FICCS] in Seattle September 20 and 21st. At thismeeting there appeared to be widespread support for the standards under development. • Voting members • Ryan Brinkman (British Columbia Cancer Agency) • Perry Haaland (Becton Dickenson) • Robert Gentleman (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center) • Michael Ochs (Fox Chase Cancer Center) • Adam Triester (FlowJo Inc.) • Additional voting members will be identified through FICCS.

  4. 1953.2 • Issues • Previously a possible issue of extended scope on behalf of theInternational Society for Analytical Cytometry [ISAC] was reported. We have now provided additional components of our standards as requested, and our complete set of proposed standards have been submitted to ISAC'sinternal data standards committee for review and comments prior to IEEEballoting • Next telephone conference call is scheduled for October 19 • predicted date for first ballot • July 2007

  5. 3rd PAR • 3rd PAR being developed for short sequence reads from next generation sequencers • Working group formed • Members from Sanger, EBI, WashU, JGI, BostonU, Broad, GSC, Solexa, 454, Helicos • In the process of recruiting a member from ABI • The decision to proceed under IEEE standards process is still outstanding. • Aim is to get resolution by end of Q107.
