  2. Alessandro di Mariano diVanniFilipepi, better known as Sandro Botticelli was an Italian painter of the Early Renaissance. He was born in the 1 may 1445 in the city of Florence in the family of a prosperous citizen, Mariano diVanniFilipepi. He received a fuller education than the other Renaissance artists.In 1462 hewasapprenticedtomonkFilippoLippi. Manyofhisearlyworkshavebeenattributedtotheeldermaster, andattributionscontinuetobeuncertain. ThenheworkedwiththefamoussculptorVerrocchio (Вероккьо). For a certain time he studied with Leonardo da Vinci at the studio of Verrocchio. In 1470 Botticelli organized his own studio. For a long time Botticelli was in the shadows until he was noticed by British artists in the middle of the XIX century who considered his paintings as a high point in the development of world art.   3. A deeply religious man, Botticelli worked in all the major churches of Florence. In the history of art he was known as a writer who wrote much on religious or mystical themes and also was inspired by the classic, ancient plots. Subtlety and precision of the lines he adopted from his second brother, who was a jeweler. Among his best known works are “The Birth of Venus” and “Primavera”. The best creation of Botticelli believes it started in 1474 the frescoes in the Vatican's Sistine Chapel. Sandro Botticelli also performed a number of paintings on the orders of the Medici. One of these paintings was “Venus and Mars”. He also famous for such works as "The Annunciation"(1489-1490), "Abandoned" (1495-1500), etc. In the last years of his life Botticelli, apparently left the painting. Creative work (maturity)
