The NIMS Integration Center Resources - NIMCAST • The NIMS Capability Assurance Support Tool is a Web-based self-assessment system that state and local governments can use to evaluate their incident response and management capabilities and comply with NIMS requirements. • NIMCAST covers the same functional areas as the NIMS and consists of 75 NIMS questions. • NIMCAST spells out the NIMS language concerning a particular requirement and then poses a series of questions on the requirement.

NIMCAST Provides: • An assessment tool to measure progress towards compliancy with NIMS standards • Establishment of a baseline for developing a NIMS Implementation Plan • Comprehensive incident management program review • Assistance in the development of plans to achieve capabilities and correct deficiencies. * NIMCAST is a tool for you to use to identify your shortfalls and strengths!
