Objectives • Identify the purpose and structure of the College Career and Readiness Standards (CCRS). • Specify the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in entry-level college and university courses. • At the end of the module, you will be asked to complete an Online Assessment to earn credit for this course.

  4. CCRS – Cross Disciplinary Standards • Some elements that go across one or more disciplines. • Some elements span all five subject areas.

CCRS – Cross Disciplinary Standards • Important to identify knowledge and skills that connect all four disciplinary areas. • CCRS adds a section for Cross-Disciplinary Standards • Reason and Problem Solving • Cite examples that support your conclusions. • Reading • Scan headlines, graphs, pictures, sidebars to form an overall understanding of a text. • Writing • Use symbols, diagrams, graphs, and words to communicate ideas • Data Analysis • Identify patterns • Conducting Research • Gather information related to a topic of study
