  1. Ramona Maharaj from the City of Hamilton Sunshine State Living Although Ramona Maharaj is from the City of Hamilton, she has recently moved south to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tired of the cold in Hamilton she believes this change will be for the best. Fort Lauderdale is a big and bustling city, full of beautiful cities and lively nightlife. Ramona, who is a teacher, enjoys being close to the beach and taking in the rays in South Florida. She is excited to grow a garden, something that was near impossible in her former northern home.

Ramona Maharaj City of Hamilton is very passionate about teaching. She loves helping kids learn and believes teachers can make a significant difference in a child’s life. Every day that she is in front of her class, she sees them learn and grow as individuals and knows that she is contributing to how they will one day turn out.

  3. Ramona Maharaj from the City of Hamilton Reading Opens New Doors Ramona Maharaj from the City of Hamilton has been an avid reader since she was a child. This is one of the many reasons she chose to become a teacher. This love of books and the fascinating words they portray is one of the reasons she decided to travel while teaching. Ramona has been to a long list of countries. She is able to combine two of her biggest passions and it was all sparked by her childhood hobby of reading.

She is passionate about helping others through education and loved attending George Brown College. The university gave her a strong foundation for her future as an English teacher, which allowed her to teach all over the world, helping those in need. Her efforts to teach other English has helped people who would have otherwise never known the language.
