  1. A Rough Guide to Gran Canaria

  2. Where is it? Gran Canaria is amongst the Canary islands, opposite Morocco and the Western Sahara. It is roughly half way between England and Brazil.

  3. What is there to do? The beautiful beaches are never far from the cultured town centres which have plenty of other exciting things to enjoy with the family. Family friendly beaches such as Playa de Mogan and Playa de Ingles, Maspalomas. Camel riding in Maspalomas is a great way to spend part of your day, seeing the sites and enjoying the sun. A relaxing ride lead by experienced camel workers. The golden sand and sun gives that holiday of a life time feel!

  4. Local Traditions Gran Canaria is a mix of various different cultures. At the same time the locals "Canarios" have always fought hard to maintain their own sense of identity and culture. The society was always open to visitors from the seas and always welcoming towards new cultures. There's not many other places on earth where you'll find such a wide variety of culture in such a small place.
