  2. Abduction of IDF Soldiers The Latest News: Hamas renewed its threat to kidnap Israeli soldiers, on the Iz-A-Din Al Qassam (Hamas terorist wing), website, Dec. 8, 2002. Hamas is a violent, anti-Western terrorist movement that is bent on the destruction of the State of Israel.

  4. Abduction of IDF Soldiers Hamas’ Intention: Hamas believes that it can use kidnapped Israeli soldiers as bargaining chips to secure the release of Palestinian terrorists being held in Israeli prisons. Hamas calls the tactic, “the best weapon of deterrence.”
