  2. To model your kitchen according to your family requirements, there are three things one has to pay special attention to- Design, Style and Materials used.

  3. Design One has to first decide whether they want an open space or a closed kitchen. This would determine the future design layouts regarding the closets, worktops and/or having a separate dining set installed in the room. Now depending on your budget and room measurements (space) you can either have a full dining set, one extra worktop or a breakfast bar installed that extends to the outside of the kitchen in open spaces. Having an extra worktop space or a breakfast table is more convenient for large families since they can also serve the purpose of study areas for kids and adults alike during non-meal times.

  4. Style This basically means how you wish your kitchen to look to an outsider. Do you and your family want a more homely kind of a kitchen with wooden cabinets and pastel shades? Or are you more into contemporary designs with steel or glass worktops as highlights? Make sure you discuss this well with all members of your family.

  5. Materials The prominent style you choose would largely determine the materials used inside the kitchen. Take your budget and conveniences into consideration. A hardwood worktop might look classy but it has a higher chance of getting scratched and stained than a stone surface.
