When and Where? 10:49-11:39 (Fifth Period) each day • Students are permitted to eat throughout the building (upstairs, downstairs, hallways, picnic area outside of the auditorium, etc.) • Students will not be permitted to eat in the Media Center or computer labs. • Students will not be permitted to eat and/or hang out in the stairwells, leave the school grounds, or go to the stadium. • Classroom rules and expectations will be determined by each individual teacher.

  6. Food Services Locations For the first two weeks of the school year, ninth graders will be dismissed early from fourth period in order to get their lunches first.  There will be three locations for students to get food: Cafeteria (of course!) Gym lobby Auditorium lobby

  7. Attendance Procedures • Most important aspect of attendance: BE HERE! BE ON TIME! • Note must be presented within three (3) school days of absence to be excused • For early dismissal, student should bring a note to attendance office before school, student must sign out before leaving the building

  8. Eligibility • To participate in extracurricular activities, students must not earn more than one “E” in a marking period. • Ineligibility remains in effect for the entire quarter. • All ninth graders are eligible for the first quarter of their freshman year.

  9. Electronic Devices • Cell phones, iPods, Bluetooth earpieces, MP3 players, any hand-held video games, headphones, and other electronic devices are PROHIBITED during school hours. • Devices that are visible, ring at inappropriate times, or otherwise cause a disturbance will be confiscated and returned only to a PARENT or GUARDIAN. • Please keep all valuables secure as they are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

  10. Magruder’s College Readiness Plan • Gr 9 – ACT EXPLORE on October 16 • Gr 10 – PSAT • Gr 11 – PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) • Gr 11 – Mock SAT/ACT administered • Gr 11 – SAT or ACT • Gr 12 – SAT or ACT or ACCUPLACER
