  3. Learning Targets • The student will identify types of information needed. • The student will consider and prioritize possible sources of information. • The student will identify subject headings and key words relevant to his research topic.

  4. Learning in the Library Media Center • Students will effectively utilize the subscription databases to complete the research assignment. • Students will gain an understanding of the purpose of electronic databases. • Students will develop effective search strategies to find new information

Learning Targets The student will: • Locate and access a variety of sources in different formats independently • Use skim and scan strategies independently to effectively determine relevant information • Evaluate the accuracy and reliability of information by comparing multiple sources and analyzing them for point of view and bias • Select effective note-taking and information-organizing techniques to record information and essential citation details while accessing print or electronic resources • Identify and request information from reliable sources to support the research plan
