  3. Early Life • Sacajawea was captured by an enemy tribe and was sold to a fur trapper. Sacajawea married the fur trapper at age 16.

  4. Later Life • Sacajawea helped Lewis and Clark in their expedition in 1804-1810? She made a home with her family in North Dakota.

  5. Interesting Information After she died 23 monuments were built in her honor. In 2003 a monument was placed in Washington D.C.
