  2. THREE TYPES OF DELAY Divine delay: we have Examples of the bible. Samuel has to come at a certain time where a priest was needed in the house of God. Another example is Sarah, who got pregnant only when Ismael was almost a teen. God has delayed you in order to save you. Sometimes, you miss a train or a plane and learn after that the plane crashed. God introduces delay to escape the snare of Satan. 2. Satanic delay: we have the example in Daniel 10:13New King James Version (NKJV) 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. The Prince of Persia was on charge to delay the destiny of Israel. 3. The man made delay: by procrastination, by the flesh, laziness. This one is not profitable to God’s agenda also. In the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot has to be dragged out of the city by the angels.

  3. Satanic delays Satan caused delays so that he can remove you from the timing of God’s blessing. Delay is a highway for it is working with many demonic entities. He will sometimes inspired you by telling you: God’s time is the best and then you keep waiting. Proverbs 13:12New King James Version (NKJV) Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. When the heart is sick, it will allow many demons to enter: disappointment, deception, discouragement, depression, anger…..Your zeal for the Lord will go down; you can start accusing God or you will look for your own solution. Also you can start accusing other men and not be able to handle the warfare because of anger in your heart. When your heart is filled with junk, until you get rid of that then your complete deliverance will take place. The Holy Spirit cannot enter your heart fill with anger. Abraham waited but you must know who is behind the delay. Samuel was late meeting Saul; as he was late to do the sacrifice, Saul did his own sacrifice and lost the kingship this way. Delay in order to defer you destiny. We have to look at all incidences of our life and see where there was an demonic entity assign for us not to succeed and study each one to know if the delay to receive is from God or not.

In order to destroy delay, you have to dismantle every element of these operations. You must bind the strongman because his assignment is to make you heart sick. Let’s study some sort of delays: Delay of manifestation; you know God watches to manifest His word. Things are seeing in the spirit but refused to manifest in the reality. Delay of expectation: you expect an event that is not happening Delay of Prophetic fulfillment: Ex: Joseph knew the Sun and the Moon will bow down, but he was still in Prison, and after 30 years he saw his dream come to past. Delay of destiny: in this we can see the example of the 10 virgins with oil. 5 foolish, who were playing around and did not get any oil. Matthew 25: 10. They are telling you the bridegroom was delayed…the 5 wise refusing to share their oil, the foolish went to buy some. But when they came back the door was shut….the delay entered in order for them not to meet the bridegroom.

  5. 4. Delay on communication divine solution: when you do not have divine communication. You do not know which man to marry…which career to choose, which way to take. The enemy can introduce confusion and bring you to the wrong decision. With confusion come doublemindness and doubt. Lord we wait so long for you to speak, we decide to do it this way….. 5. Delay via entanglements and yokes: This one is very difficult because it cause you to commit errors to put you more in bondage. Ex: you are expecting a job, there is a delay on your background check. Then Poverty entered and you hear the voice telling you, take a credit card to help you pay the bills, anyway your job is coming. You put yourself in more debts and the job is still not coming. When you pray with a man of God , he could cast out the strong man but the debt is still there and it takes you years to get rid of them.

  6. How do you fight delay? With persistence: Luke 18: the story of the persistence judge. The widow came several times….sir give me justice. No……next day…..Sir you have to take care of this man ….No. Luke 18: 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’” If this one is the unrighteous judge, we know we have a righteous judge that is Jesus our Lord. 2. Seeking diligently the will of God: what is the Will of God on this problem. If we do not seek we end up in the wrong choice. What is seeking: to look with persistence, asking, investigating, taking time to find solution. 3. avoid: Laziness: you do not pray, you do not fast….let the will of God be done. ….Who told you that Good things come without fighting. Some people do not want to get out of their comfort zone: some are not entering even into the prayerline, it is too much work for them. Pride can bring you also the wrong way, you don’t want to fight dirty and think God hears all of us. The widow did not care what people was thinking about her, she knew she can have justice. Justice delayed is justice denied. If you are supposed to use your fortune for your children at 45 years old but you are given justice at 75 years old and died at 80 years old. You have been delayed and you have been denied the blessing of using your fortune on your children on time!!

How do you fight delay? 4. “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. You have waited enough; now it is time to go northward….. Let’s use the weapons God has given us to fight the good war. Psalm 119:60 I hastened and did not delay To keep Your commandments. Ezekiel 12:21-28New King James Version (NKJV) : No more delay Psalm 70:5 But I am afflicted and needy; Hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay.
