  1. Ancient Art (Stolen Chimney Route) 5.9/A0Fisher Towers, Moab Area, Utah While not noted for “quality rock”, “substantial length”, or “clean climbing”, Ancient Art is included on the list of The 100 Top Climbs in North America for one reason. That reason is for the wildest summit you’ll ever stand on!

  2. Casey: “That seems kind of tall and exposed…”

  3. “I better double check this…”

  4. Our celebratory beer awaits at the car. After 4 pitches of climbing the view starts to “open up” a bit.

  5. The final pitch looks like a doozy. A corkscrew formation that looks ready to crumble.

  6. First, one must traverse The Sidewalk – a 20’ long, 18” wide ridge of mud with a looong drop on either side.

  7. “It’s plenty wide if you have good balance.”

  8. The wise Casey-fuscious say, “One must find their center and be at peace with Nature.”

  9. Up onto “The Diving Board”

  10. “Finally a chance to clip my rope into the rock.”

  11. “Now what?”

  12. “When in doubt, keep climbing. Before the pile of mud crumbles away.”

  13. “Almost there.”

  14. What a summit!

  15. Casey’s hero shots and the end of a great ascent.
