THE ROTARY FOUNDATION • Annual Fund Goal $240.00 2017-18 $305.50 2016-17 229.89 • November 2018-19 40% of the Rotary • Annual Fund 25% of Goal with Average Per Capita Giving -$44.49 • Last year - 23% at 40.61 Two years ago – 24% at 41.86 • 9 Non-Giving Clubs • Last year - 11 Clubs Two years ago – 9 Clubs • Major Donor/Bequest Society 11 • Paul Harris Society – 132 Active Members % that met their Goal? • No All Paul Harris Fellow Clubs

  6. POLIO PLUS • Polio Plus District Club Goal is $96,300 • YTD Club giving to Polio Plus $27,953 or 29.03% • 34 clubs have not given anything to Polio Plus YTD • 7 clubs had no Polio Plus Goal for the year • 6 clubs have reached their Polio Plus goal

  7. POLIO PLUS • With 29 cases of Wild Polio YTD, clubs need to keep Polio in the minds of their members. • Endemic countries continue to intensify their eradication efforts, through implementation of national polio emergency action plans. • It’s time to redouble our efforts so we can continue to maintain the political and financial support necessary to end polio for good. • Every club needs to meet their goals set and those clubs with $0 goal need to give. • Suggest clubs hold a Polio fundraising event for Rotary Anniversary February 23rd.

  9. MEMBERSHIP • Educate and inspire clubs toward flexible membership types. • 30% female and 10% membership gain of those under 40. • Encourage formation of 4 new clubs. • District membership net increase of 20. • Only four goals were established.

  10. MEMBERSHIP • Recruit and initiate new members 10 : 3 : 1 Rule. • Inspire and retain current members. • Experiment with flexibility, launch new clubs. • Conduct a Classification Audit. • Rotary Citation.

PUBLIC IMAGE • Training in public image has been provided at all district training events. • From zero to 17% number of clubs submitted articles to district newsletter. • Most clubs have websites and Facebook pages. • 55% of clubs update Facebook regularly; 13% once or twice monthly; 26% are outdated. • Clubs are using Rotary labeled clothing at events or other Rotary signage.

PUBLIC IMAGE • Offer training to individual clubs’ public image chairs as needed. • Clubs will utilize resource materials on the District 7600 Website and at Brand Central. • Clubs will post to Facebook frequently (at least once a week). • Clubs will use the People of Action Campaign material. • Encourage more clubs to submit articles to District Newsletter.

STRATEGIC PLAN • A strategic plan sets the framework for the future and should be progressive in nature. • Some clubs have original plans. • Some clubs have more recent updates based on original format. • New simplified strategic plan format available and should be followed. • Plan should reflect the personality of the club. • Plan should provide continuity in goals for three years. (Immediate past, Current and Future (PE) club presidents)

  16. STRATEGIC PLAN • Actively engage in carrying out the plan’s goals. • Share the plan often with members, and prospective members • Review and potentially revise the plan annually. • Be open to new concepts for the future. • Evaluate the club’s success in meeting the goals of the plan.

ROTARY CITATION • How many Clubs completed last year? • Criteria: (do at least 3 each of the following) • Support and strengthen clubs Focus and increase humanitarian service Enhance public image and awareness Rotary Citation With Presidential Distinction Achieve 1 additional goal for SILVER 2 additional for GOLD 3 additional for PLATINUM

CLUB FLEXIBILITY • Rotary International recognizes 2 officially registered Satellite Clubs in District 7600. • Several others exploring satellite & club flexibility: the how, when, where, & how often they meet; exploring on-line components, new member categories, & attendance rules with the goal of strengthening clubs. • Training provided at all District training events. • Membership Committee speaking at individual clubs.

  25. CLUB FLEXIBILITY • New satellite clubs must have at least 8 members at the time they form. • Sponsor Club President should complete the application(RI) for the District who forwards it to RI. • Goal is to document all clubs within the District working towards having a Satellite. • Continue to offer training to individual clubs on Satellite options and respond to club questions regarding bylaw revisions, dues, and governance of the sponsor and new satellite club.

ROTARACT • 12 active, reported clubs with 3 more on the way • District Service Projects - Special Olympics Partnership, RYLA, Rise Against Hunger, Caring Canvases • Leadership events - First ever Zone 33/34 Summit; 7570 Multi-district summit panel; Rotaract & Interact Conference; district conference • District committee • Bi-annual Rotary Partner meetings & district Rotaract president meetings/leadership seminar

ROTARACT • Finalize charters and certification documents for RI for new clubs: increase in number of Rotaract clubs • Participate in additional service projects & networking: Petra Peacebuilders, Habitat for Humanity, Annual Rotary Mixer • Upcoming leadership opportunities – Rotaract 101 seminar, RLI for Rotaractors • Continued multi-district collaboration with district 7570

  31. INTERACT • There are 64 registered Interact Clubs in the district. • We have approximately 15 Interact Clubs that are active doing fundraising and community service activities. That means approximately 50 registered Interact Clubs are not active. • There are 11 Interact Clubs that were terminated over the years. • Most Active Interact Clubs Fluvanna County High School, Fork Union Military Academy, Hampton City Schools, and Mechanicville. • We have a new Interact7600.com website; Interact7600 Facebook; and Interact7600 Twitter accounts.

  32. INTERACT • Develop partnerships with your local middle and high schools Leaders to help recruit School Faculty Advisors. • Club Presidents and Youth Service Representatives give support to Interact Clubs and School Faculty Advisors to help keep them engaged. • Clubs partner with Interactors on Fundraising and Community Service Projects. • Get involved with Rotary International and Rotary World Youth Service activities. For example: The 10th annual Interact Video Awards.

  34. RYLA • Currently have 56 students enrolled for RYLA in February 2019. • Registration forms and payments continue to come in slowly, deadline for submission was December 15. • We expect to reach our goal of 90 delegates.

RYLA • Please get registration forms and payments in ASAP. • Identify club members who might be willing to help with: • Judging presentations at RYLA, February 17. • Becoming a member of the RYLA team in the future. • Ask delegates from your club to present at a Rotary meeting. • Set up mechanisms in your club to meet RYLA deadlines in the future.

YOUTH EXCHANGE • 1 Outbound student – Jacob Jeter in District 1880 in Kamenz, Germany. • 1 Inbound student – Barbara Diniz, from District 4540 Ituverava, Brazil. • Both students sponsored by Hanover County Rotary. • No students have completed applications to go outbound. • 1 club that runs a club-to-club short term exchange with a club in The Netherlands. • 1 club that is planning to host a short-term student from India. • We have no District 7600 Rotary Clubs who have expressed willingness to host a Youth Exchange student in the future.

  38. YOUTH EXCHANGE • Check with your club to see if there is interest in hosting an exchange student for 2019-2020. • Contact Lee Muckey to express interest or get further information about Rotary Youth Exchange (lee@muckeys.com 804-370-4796), including short-term exchanges or New Generations Service Exchange.
