Hazus Updates • All updated Hazus State datasets can be downloaded at: • http://184.72.33.183/R10_Storage/Hazus/ • Updates are included for every State in Region X and are summarized in the update spreadsheet • Updates include 2010 census information at the census tract level. The census block level still contains 2000 census information • User defined datasets are available for Washington and Alaska

FEMA Geoplatform • http://fema.maps.arcgis.com/home/index.html • Plan to create a viewer for earthquake and flood Hazus output using updated data. 40+ scenarios have been completed in Hazus 2.1 using 2010 census data (for earthquake) and updated local data. • E-mail Joshua Keller, joshua.keller@fema.dhs.gov for access

Pierce County Hazus Analysis • Funded as part of the Pierce County Coastal study • Included level 2 Hazus update and analysis and 1% annual chance depth grid • User defined facility database was created for all buildings in the 1% and 0.2% annual chance floodplain (based on current revised preliminary maps) • The County provided all parcel/assessors information as well as appropriate values for first floor height • Depth grids for the Puyallup were provide to FEMA which was used in this initial analysis

  9. New HUG Name • Accepting name nominations until August 2nd • Will send a survey which will determine the new HUG name • So far I have the following nominations • Cascadia HUG • Western Area HUG • Evergreen HUG • Tree HUG • Send your nominations to me by the 2nd.
