  2. Instagram seems to be moving away from its conventional algorithmic feed. In fact, a lot of SEO experts have noticed that the popular social media platform is implementing a number of algorithm updates that when examined closely proves to be different from what it previously announced. One of the latest among these is the update that enabled Instagram to show more of the most recent posts first.

  3. An article published by Search Engine Journal revealed that Instagram would not fully bring the chronological feedback along with the other related features. However, the company hinted that they are currently working on adjustments to further improve the appearance of their feed and eventually allow the users to see the timeliest posts. The same article also shared that Instagram will no longer automatically refresh the feed as well as stop bumping users back up to the top. In addition, Instagram will also add a “New Posts” button that will allow users to choose when they want to refresh the feed or not. In case they decide not to refresh it, the feed will stay the same where the user last left off.

  4. Finally, Instagram confirmed that they would be rolling out additional improvements over the next few months. Aside from making the use of Instagram more convenient, the company’s confirmation stating that more improvements will follow has delighted a lot of SEO professionals since this could mean that the social media platform would eventually become more useful to various search engine optimisation efforts.
