  1. KEY ASPECTS TO KNOW ABOUT THE BEST RASGULLA YOU CAN GET IN INDIA

  2. Rasgulla is one of the most favourite sweets of India, a country known for its sweet tooth. It has also gained considerable international fame due to its sponginess and sweetness. There is a general lack of knowledge in the masses about the finer aspects of rasgulla, however.

  3. TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER SWEETS IN THE WORLD, READ ON.

  4. Origins: • There has been considerable controversy about the origin of this sweet. • It is generally accepted that it was first made in the eastern part of India, but the states of West Bengal and Odisha both claim to be the originators of the sweet. • The final consensus was that there are two types of rasgulla, each originating from one of these two East Indian states.

  5. Recipe • The main ingredients of rasgulla are chhena balls, sugar syrup and semolina dough. • The chhena balls and semolina dough are cooked in the syrup of sugar. • The permeation of the syrup into the balls results in the best rasgulla.

  6. Nutritional Values • Despite the tempting sweetness of the best canned rasgulla, these balls are actually quite gluten-free. • A 100-gram serving of rasgulla contains around 186 calories. Carbohydrates constitute about 153 calories. • These canned sweets also have protein of around 4 grams and fat of only 1.85 grams.

  7. Well, now you are a bit more informed about rasgullas than you were before. These sweets have contained the fancy of Indians since the past century. Numerous sweetmeat shops both in Bengal and Odisha sell rasgullas, but only a handful few can claim that they make the best rasgulla. Very less number of people has been able to perfect the art.
