  2. To ensure success as productive citizens upon exiting juvenile facilities, students must be provided with marketable job skills equal to those in nonresidential facilities. Career-Integrated Experiential Learning (CIEL)

  3. Students who enroll in a Career-Integrated Experiential Learning concentration (CIEL) have the opportunity to complete traditional or virtual courses from a CTE concentration. • CIEL concentration ensures that the remaining courses within the concentration may include the Ready to Work Certification course 1 or 2, the Entrepreneurial Preparedness course, C-Tech or Experiential Learning.

What are the options included in a Career Integrated Experiential Learning Concentration? • Previous CTE Coursework at Home High School • Enrollment in Traditional Coursework • Enrollment in Virtual Coursework • Enrollment in Virtual Coursework • Ready to Work Certifications Course 1 • Ready to Work Certifications Course 2 • Entrepreneurial Preparedness Course • Experiential Learning

  5. Easily Transferrable • When a student completes the Ready to Work Certifications course (1 or 2), the Entrepreneurial Preparedness course or Experiential Learning hours, he or she will receive credit applicable to the CIEL certificate. • These credits can transfer to any ODTP facility or to the home high school.
