    19. HOW TO ACE COLLEGE

    20. Dr. Richard Light, Harvard Prof, writes in his book, Making the Most of College You should: get to know at least 1-2 faculty each term (for advice, support, and providing references ) Manage time in blocks plan your hours for study Get involved in variety of extracurricular activities Take a mix of courses-- and dont devote first years solely to requirements.* (* Light also says parents are well meaning but give lousy advice on point 4,--theyre especially bad at picking courses! ? )

    21. ** Make it happen: If its not on your calendar, itll never happen. Phil Keoghan Its ALL about time management!! Reserve or block 2 hours of study for every credit hour. 16 credits X 2 = 30+ hrs (!!) of scheduled study time every week Utilize your blocked daytime hours for study go to the library regularly or to a quiet study area, not to your room!! ** Things which matter most should never be at the mercy of things which matter least.
