Dienstverlening van het project-> 2005 care Preventie & promotie Cultureel aangepaste Individuele en groepscounseling voor HIV patiënten, vnl. om coping “leven met HIV/ AIDS” enmet diagnose en therapie te verhogen Seksuele gezondheid- promotie en secondaire preventie van HIV besmetting Ondersteuning van zelfzorg/ mantelzorg • Organiseren van de gemeenschap, voor: • informatiedoorstroming over de ziekte en haar preventie • Promotie van veilige seks en condoom gebruik • Promotie van HIV test

  34. Care for SAM living with HIV/AIDS • Main problems • loneliness • Lack of information on the HIV/AIDS • Problems related to the fact of being migrants and being HIV+ (stigma, social problem, financial problem…)

  35. Approach for the SAM living with HIV/AIDS • Culturally adapted support (taking into account the perceptions and the culture of the patients) • For individual patient:urgent needs • psychological support • Home visits, hospital visits • Social probems • Supplementary counseling

Groepscounseling:Muungano • 57 persons (41F et 16M) from different cities • Monthly meeting: training on compliance, secundary prevention, nutrution,… • Fight against loneliness and stigma (excursion, dinner) • Solidarity between the patients (hospital visits) • Take part in primary prevention: • 19 testimonies (2002 -2005): 6 persons

Specific doelstellingen Verbetering van de kwaliteit van de seksuele gezondheidspromotie, de preventie van HIV/SOA en HIV-gerelateerde zorg voor de primaire doelgroep (SAM), aangeboden door : • professionnele intermediairen van de gezondheid- en welzijnssector • verschillende groepen van vrijwillige intermediairen (community based organisatie)
