  3. INTEGERS are all of the positive whole numbers, their opposites, and zero. Example: .....-5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...... Confidential

  4. 10 8 9 -10 -9 -8 -7 -6 -5 -4 -3 -1 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 INTEGERS can be shown as points on a number line. -2 Integers on this side of zero are POSITIVE. Integers on this side of zero are NEGATIVE. Zero is the Origin. It is neither positive nor negative! Confidential

  23. Two numbers that are the same distance from zero on the number line are called OPPOSITES. Example: -6 and 6 The ABSOLUTE VALUE of a number is its distance from zero on the number line. ABSOLUTE VALUE is always positive! -32 = 32 18 = 18 Confidential
