O Grupo de Mães da OCA nasceu a partir da iniciativa de se reunir mulheres da Comunidade da Aldeia de Carapicuíba, provenientes das mais diversas regiões do Brasil, para resgatarem suas histórias , a cultura que trouxeram de seus lugares, entre elas os fazeres manuais. Produzem uma diversidade de artigos que vão desde artigos para cozinha, colares, roupas e acessórios através de um fazer que integra renda renascença, ponto cruz, tricô, crochê, costura e outros bordados a mão.
