  3. What is a Mind Map?? • A technique for organizing and remembering what you have learned • A creative way to show your understanding of a concept/idea • HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES… • Be ready to brainstorm what they all have in common.

  4. What did the Mind Maps have in common?? • Turn to a partner and discuss your observations. • What did you notice?

The “Must Do’s” When Creating a Mind Map… • Page is oriented “landscape”. • Topic is identified in the middle of the page. • The major areas representing the topic radiate out from the centre. • The most complex ideas are closest to the centre. • Key words are placed on the line with accompanying diagram/image. • Colour and images are included. • Colour is used to add interest and/or to classify and show relationships between the concepts.
