  1. Encore Reporter for Statistics Nov. 16, 2012 MARINet Dan McMahon dmcmahon@marinet.info

  2. Reporter stats are a little different • Uploaded daily and stored at iii.com • Available for any date or range of dates (up to 3 years) • Change dynamically as data changes (coding patrons, back-dating checkins)

  3. Odd things about Reporter • Long and detailed names for reports (“Transaction Location by Transaction Type”) • Exposes bad or unusual data • “unknown” libraries, patron type of “-1” • Categories made visible unintentionally (network location or webpac logins) • Patron ZIP Codes (residence or mailing?)

  4. Good things about Reporter • Supports complex analysis • Ability to fine-tune queries, compare data • Many data fields available (more can be added on request eventually) • Reporter exports data instantly into Excel

  5. What do we use it for? • Circ stats for “lost dates” • Direct loan statistics for 2 week periods • Analytics for circ staff (hourly checkouts, checkins) • Collection sizes (titles, items) • Info about how Encore Discovery is used (locations, facets, features)
