  10. Strategy 1: Mnemonics My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets How?

  11. Strategy 2: Flash Cards You could even power point them but remember it is what they say that is important not the time spent making them. Standard Prefixes m = milli = x 0.001 G = Giga = x 1,000,000,000 µ = micro = x 0.000001 M = Mega = x 1,000,000 n = nano = x 0.000000001 K = Kilo = x 1,000 How?

  12. Strategy 3: Mind Maps How?

  13. Strategy 4: Cartoons How?

  14. Yo listen up y’all I’m Attila the Hun And I wanted to be ruler of everyone My barbarian hordes swept across the plains In my two most aggressive military campaigns I got the Franks and the Vandals involved with my schemes But got beaten by the Romans just outside Orleans But it wasn’t them alone that saw me off ‘Cos they had the assistance of the Visigoths… Strategy 5: Raps and Rhymes How?

  15. Strategy 6: Flow Charts How?

  16. How? Whatever helps you to remember. Use the internet, SAM Learning, BBC Bitesize, Posters, Post-Its, Audio recordings on your MP3 Player, Q&A with friend or family, answering past papers (available on the net), flash cards, rhymes, mnemonics, repetition,

  17. When? Guess when……. NOW!

  18. When? How much? How long is a piece of string? It is widely accepted that students who spend 30 hours per subject on their revision will have a significantly higher chance of exam success. So do I wait until the last two weeks and then do 24 hours a day on each of my subjects. With no sleep! Not a good plan! So, start earlier, produce a plan and stick to it. Two hours a week night and four hours on Saturday and Sunday, that gives 18 hours revision a week. Excellent but it needs to be divided up. You also need time for you. Exercise, social time & a good diet are all important.

  19. When? A Revision Plan eh? Crazy idea! Within each subject you then need to focus on a topic. Eg Maths: Fractions Do 25 minutes then take 5 minute break. Walk, grab a drink, talk to someone.

  20. When? Where to start? Write down your subjects. Divide each one up into small topics. Write them into your revision plan. Start revising and remember to reward yourself, take breaks, get exercise, eat well, sleep well, de-stress, drink plenty of water, communicate to people. As long as you have given you best efforts, no-one can ask for more. The result will be what you deserve.
