  1. Sydney City “The Rocks” By Tori, Daniela and Charlotte.

  2. Objects, Shapes and Figures The objects used in this photo, are tables chairs, buildings and the Harbour bridge. These objects especially the Harbour Bridge, represent Sydney. The table and chairs sitting outside the café shows the daily lifestyle of an average Australian, going to get a morning coffee on a Saturday. In the foreground there is a café. The mid-ground shows buildings, cars and pedestrians. In the background there is the Harbour Bridge.

  3. Size In the picture, the objects are set out that, in the background the buildings and objects are quiet big, and when getting to the Midground and foreground they are getting really small. This is good as you can have a good look at everything in the picture.

  4. Setting The setting of this picture is in the middle of the City in Sydney. This is were most things happen in Sydney and what it is known for. They chose to include the harbour bridge in this picture, which means more people will recognize where it is. It is “The Rocks” in Sydney which is also very well known & a very popular place to go & visit.

  5. Colour The colours used are soft pastel colours, which gives you the impression that it’s a very calm place and that not a lot goes on there. Also the greenery it is gives you the impression that although there is a lot of buildings and cars, that they still try and keep the city green and make it look welcoming.

  6. Position In the picture, the Harbour Bridge is in the center but is positioned in the background. The hotel and other buildings are to the left of the picture, positioned in the mid-ground. The café is also on the left but it is positioned in the foreground, in front of the buildings. There are some trees to the right in the mid-ground.

  7. Direction In the picture, you are viewing the bridge at a side on view so the bridge is facing the right. The hotel and building are also on a slightly side on view, they are facing to the right. You are facing straight on to the people sitting at the café. The people are facing each other whilst sitting at the tables at the café.

  8. Angle From where the photo has been taken you are looking up and into the distance to see the harbour bridge. This shows that it is an object of importance. The people at the café are at eye-level with the audience which demonstrates equality. The buildings and trees are at eye-level and higher than audience to the picture.

  9. Light It is a sunny day but there are a few clouds so it makes the lighting look a little dull. Although there is some sun peaking out which does lighten up the picture a little bit if you look closely. The lighting darkens on the left hand side of the picture as this is a sheltered with umbrellas, but it brightens up on the right hand side as the picture is taken out into the open.

  10. Body Language The body language of the people in this photo show that they seem happy and content with what they are doing. Most people are sitting down talking to each other at a cafe being pretty social. Some are leaning down as if they may be reading a newspaper or book. This sort of body language shows a calm and social atmosphere.

  11. Clothing People in this picture are wearing typical casual clothing. Possibly comfortable clothes to travel around in if they are tourists. There is one lady standing at the café who looks like she may be a waitress by the uniform that she is wearing. But I think everyone is mostly just wearing every day clothes for every day activities around the city Sydney.
