  1. Electric Scooters An electric scooter or motorcycle is a vehicle that you plug in that has two to three wheels and is powered by electricity. Electricity for the electric scooter is stored in an onboard rechargeable battery. This battery is capable of driving one or more electric motors; the electric scooter has a step-through frame. History of Electric Scooter and Motorcycles The first electric motorcycle was patented by Ogden Bolton Jr., on September 19, 1895; the following November of the same year there was another patent filed for an electric bike by a Hosea W. Libbey of Boston. Then in London, England in 1896, the bicycle manufacture known as Humber showed the exhibit of an electric Tandem bicycle during the Stanley Cycle Show. This electric bicycle was powered by batteries and had a motor in front of the rear wheel. There was a speed control resistance that was placed across the handle bars, this electric tandem bicycle was originally designed to use at the racetrack. Electric Scooter in Modern Day Currently electric scooter and motorcycles are becoming the new mode of transportation options. Because of overcrowded streets and the rising costs of gasoline, many people are parking their gas powered vehicles and buying a more economical electric scooter for everyday, short trips around town. Electric scooters are economical, dependable, and require very little maintenance. Electric scooters are great transportation if you are a student or work in an office. You can ride your scooter in the bicycle lane and bi-pass all that congested traffic on the street, getting to work on time and home even quicker. Electric scooters are very economical, no more wasting money on gasoline, oil changes, and all the other maintenance that a car requires. All you need to do is plug in your scooter, charge the battery and away you go! Electric scooters are made for kids and adults; the adult scooters are strong and stable enough to bear an adult’s weight and size. How long will your e-scooter’s battery charge last? As a rule, the more wattage the e-scooter’s battery has the more power the scooter will have. For whatever reason, the wattage that your scooter says it has on the package generally is not what its real power is. It might be for advertising reasons, or maybe the manufacturer wants to avoid current laws and regulations; if you want to know what the real wattage is of your new e-scooter, you are going to have to call the manufacturer to find out. Once you find out how long your battery charge will hold you can then plan you day according to how far you can travel. Always carry your charger with you in a backpack or some other carrying device, so when you get to one location you can plug in you scooter and ensure you have enough juice to get to you next location. An electric scooter is a lot of fun, and once you start saving money on the little things your car was using you will be able to enjoy it even more.
