  2. Overview This session will guide you through editing syllabus text and instructor notes on the Vitals section. Also, helping you understand the uses for each of these sections in the VITALS application.

  3. Log In Our tutorial begins with logging on to the VITALS Student Information and Curriculum Management system. If you do not know your logon credentials, or have trouble finding the website, contact us at: vitals@osumc.edu Logon by visiting: https://vitals.osumc.edu Username: OSUMC-ID (ex. Buck01) Password: OSUMC-Password

  4. This is the VITALS home page. From here you can navigate to your desired area of interest Find the curricular items you want to edit by hovering over the Curriculum section and selecting Manage: List view of all curricular entities Teaching and Learning Methods: List view of all of the TLMs Curricular Resources: List view of all of the CRs

  5. Use the filters to narrow down your search Select the hyperlink to access a particular item

  6. Narrative Tab The Narrative tab is where the Instructor Notesand Syllabus Text are located Click the pencil to edit the information for the Instructor Notes or the Syllabus Text

  7. Instructor Notes Text entered here (Instructor Notes) can be seen by any user scheduled into that item as an instructor When you are finished editing the Instructor Notes hit the ‘Done’ button

  8. Syllabus Text Text entered here(Syllabus Text) can be seen by any user scheduled into this item as a student When you are finished editing the Syllabus Text hit the ‘Done’ button

  9. Portal Calendar When participants are scheduled into activities the event item appears on the Portal in the Calendar section

  10. Portal Calendar Selecting the information buttonbrings up the resources and syllabus tabs for the specific item

  11. Selecting the Syllabus tab in the pop up window displays the information that was added to the Instructor Notes and Syllabus Text earlier The associated learning objectives are also shown in the Syllabus tab
