  2. Romy Minko works at Charter Keck Cramer, a leading property consulting firm in Melbourne, Australia. Her designation in the company is that of a Research Analyst. Her work includes writing Python scripts to access, clean and compile data from the internet.

  3. Additionally, she performs statistical analysis of data in Excel and Tableau and research factors that may affect the property market in Australia, such as affordability metrics and the emerging middle class in India and China. Although it has been just around a year since Romy joined Charter Keck Cramer, she has managed to prove herself as a vital resource for the company.

  4. Romy Minko has a diverse career portfolio. Prior to working at Charter Keck Cramer as a Research Analyst, she was a Customer Assistant at Dan Murphy’s from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, she tutored two students; one over the course of two years, the other for one year.

  5. As a part of her Chemistry major, she also worked in a laboratory for her modules. This work was conducted in a group and needed excellent analytical thinking and research for preparing laboratory reports.

  6. Romy Minko has also been a Conference Attendee of “It All Adds Up: Celebrating Women across the Mathematical Sciences”. She attended this conference at the University of Oxford in 2015. Attending this conference gave her the chance to listen to several prominent female mathematicians.

  7. This experience greatly fueled her motivation to continue with her education in research. During the conference, she also got the opportunity to talk to Kristin Lauter of Microsoft Research, who directed her towards the internship opportunities available to PhD students.

  8. Prior to joining Charter Keck Cramer, Romy Minko worked with Dan Murphy’s for three years. Serving as a Customer Assistant, she handled financial transactions, provided product advice to customers, handled customer complaints, and liaised with the visitors to the head office. In addition, she was also involved in maintaining an organised and clean workplace, restoring & reconstructing the store, and assisting customers along with completing other tasks.

  9. She is also a benevolent person who believes in charity work. She has volunteered with Don Bosco Centre for a week, and contributed in achieving the goals of this non-profit organization. She was involved in various operations such as taking medication to the poor families affected with AIDS and preparing relief packages for communities in poverty.
