  5. Project ManagementEmergency Plan Identifying the Risks and Hazards: · Earthquake may happen · Fire may happen · Electrical equipment failure · Someone may trip Assessments of Risks and Hazards: · If an earthquake or fire were to happen, which is slim, the impact would be extremely serious, however risk is not high due to the placement of our event in the cedar building room 237. · If the electrical equipment fails, we have a backup system ready, as well as extra wiring. · The risk of someone falling is the highest hazard. There is a nurse on campus, as well as first aid kits. Management of Risks and Hazards · Fire and Earthquake: Fire extinguishers are placed around the school, and there is one located outside the library. There is also an emergency exit route by the main doors. · Electrical equipment failure: It must be avoided through careful planning · Spills: If someone spills and falls due to liquids a mop will be near for quick cleanup.

  8. CommunicationCommunication Policies and Procedures 1. Communication is key! Please let at least one group member know if you’re going to be late or if you’re unable to make it. 2. Group meetings are 100 percent mandatory without real excuses. 3. Avoid groupthink; have everyone agree on issues together rather than going against what one person suggests. 4. Be proactive; have group members write down at least three things which we should talk about on that day (have an agenda). 5. Face to face communication is necessary. At least once a week we will meet as a group and discuss much needed topics. Though we can communicate through email and other electronic devices, issues must be brought up as a group while we are all together. 6. Honest feedback. If you don’t agree with something give feedback to improve the idea, don’t just put down their proposal. Also we can build upon ideas with constructive criticism. However both positive and negative feedback are helpful. 7. Show respect towards others; aim conflict towards task issues rather than towards group members. 8. Check emails frequently to ensure that everyone is updated with assigned tasks and group meeting information.

  9. CommunicationWeekly and Minutes • Weekly Summary Reports are handed into Carolyn Stern every Sunday • Minutes are taken for every group meeting

  10. Communication

  11. Human RecoursesPolicies and Procedures 1. Two warnings by group members of irresponsible behaviour before sending a formal email to teacher towards firing negligent group members. 2. Tasks must be completed by the groups given deadline, as well as, obviously, the teacher’s given deadline. 3. Attendance is always necessary unless contacting at least one of the group members as to why you are unable to make the group meeting. See communication policies and procedures. 4. Work is divided equally into tasks rather than into positions. 5. Avoid groupthink as well as group conflict at all costs. If there is an issue with members within the group, take it up with each other after the meeting. 6. Business attire or team uniform is required during presentations.

  29. ProductionScript for the Emcees Thank you everyone for joining us today. We are pleased to introduce you today with our event theme on the Power of Music. We have a lot of interesting things planned today to demonstrate how discovering our inner expressions and creativity can evolve and even begin with the sounds, lyrics and stories of music. As you just saw music inspires people to be creative, self motivated and create an endless journey for your expressions. We hope by the end of this event you will have the power to free your mind, develop self creations, and allow yourself to express your emotions and thoughts throughout your lives. In saying this we would like to get started by talking about how music has affected our lives and how we can relate to certain stories of artists and the types of genres that helped us overcome our inner fears, express our creativity and show our true emotions in life. We would ask everyone if they could please arrange yourselves into a circle shape to get started.
