  2. Find a good vet before you need one! • Pets form a major part of our lives. They make the best companions for children and adults alike. With unconditional love they offer, they expect very little in return from their human friends (unless you have a cat).

  3. Getting a Pet : • It doesn’t matter where you get one from; it could be a gift from a loving relative or some stray you were attached to during your daily meetings; they become a part of your family in no time.

  4. Taking Care Of Pets: • The moment you get yourself a pet, you are responsible for its nutrition, safety and health care just like any other family member. The kids require special attention and need to be vaccinated properly.

Choosing The Right Vet Hospital • Choosing a hospital accredited with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) will prove to be beneficial since these are known to provide high veterinary care standards. • The next important factor to consider is the location of the clinic. This would be favorable not only during the times of emergencies but would be convenient during the regular visits for the both of you.

  6. . • If you can find a super specialty hospital providing services like X-ray, ultrasound, dentistry, in-house test labs, surgical and brooding services all under a single roof, this would prove to be an icing on the cake. • Another thing to consider while on your search for a good vet would be the operational timings of the hospital.

  7. During Holiday’s : • While planning holidays, check the options for pet care facilities available. If you choose to take your pet along (which is the best idea), it is always advised to keep track of all the veterinary options available nearby, well in advance.

  8. As we said before, it is always better to find a capable veterinarian before you need one! • Prevention is better than cure. So is caution.
