  1. Question: how do we share our MN Food Charter implementation strategies across the state so each organization isn't recreating the wheel?

  2. The MN Food Charter will challenge my own thinking and ways of working. It will help me think out of the box about where I should be focusing my attention.

  3. I will use the MN Food Charter to guide my own professional work. It will help me determine my goals and set my workplan priorities!

  4. I'd like to work on increasing the ability of farmers and rural grocery stores to connect to sell locally produced products - grown in the surrounding community - in these stores, increasing healthy food options for residents in this area as well.

  5. Educate kids the importance of eating healthy, local, organic food in schools. Issues who r outside area serving new food hub, but still close by that hub, on how they can overcome transportation issues.

  6. One of the strategies within Food Skills is to offer employees paid time and free sources to strengthen food skills- we are adding a demonstration kitchen to teach cooking skills at our healthcare system for the community - partner with Extension and other organizations to get this done- the Food Charter

  7. Help rural store change display and possibly connect w produce case. Work w treatment ctr to establish healthy food policy. Suggest ways for low income schools

  15. Im very excited about the whole charter but what excites me most is food skills and education. I will be volunteering with cooking matters...After i get to go through training! this is amazing and i am grateful that i am here

  16. The MN Food Charter lifts up the work that is already happening across MN communities and lends important credibility to this work!

  19. Teach nutrition to Lower income based people using local foods

  20. I'm excited that the charter stresses food skills as the foundation of healthy eating. You can give people resources and access to healthy foods, but if they don't know how to shop our prepare the food, they won't get the maximum benefit from it. Connecting dairy farmers with community gardens. Peace

  21. I'm inspired to create more engaging relationships between diverse groups all around healthy food access.

  23. Continue strengthening regional food networks & focusing on food aggregation & distribution to make more locally grown food available close to home!

  24. So excited to collaborate on efforts within our communities while having a shared vision! This food charter will prove to be such great help!

  25. I'm impressed with the integration of equity throughout. I'll commit to launch with grant decision makers at UMN.

  26. Farmland access and preservation support is a treasure that I have been waiting for. Our farms are fast disappearing. Thank you for your commitment to change.

  27. Addressing pay, labor and infrastructure issues that farmers are currently facing is extremely important and something we all need to work to improve.

  28. Use the food charter as a framework to educate people about strategies to make a difference.

  29. So far my takeaway treasure is the user friendly food charter that has provided me with quite a few great strategies to take back to my tribal community.
