Utah General Education Pathway • Identify courses that: • transfer as equivalent credit across USHE institutions; and • are generally available from most if not all institutions (list several courses per category to ensure availability). • Recommend: • students select one course from each GenEd category to ensure best transfer; and • seek advice from a college academic advisor before selecting a substitute or second course in a single category.

Utah Exploratory Majors Pathway • Identify courses that: • serve as introduction to a meta-pathway; and • are generally available from most if not all institutions (list several courses per category to ensure availability). • Recommend: • students select a course from within one of six pathways explored in middle school; and • if the first CE course in that pathway engages them, try another • Encourage students to take a Quantitative Literacy GenEd class associated with the pathway.
