To assure the Mersey Care Board that the service is being delivered to meet the needs of the workforce and the organisation, in relation to continuously improving quality. Vision Mission Our strengths are to enable: Learning, CPD and personal development Enhanced clinical practice and decision making Research and development, service and business development Quality improvement and innovation Better Services Our Organisation Quality Better Services Quality Better Partnerships To meet the needs of the Trust workforce by providing best value resources at the point of care To share knowledge effectively to assist the Clinical Divisions in their aim of continuous quality improvement and productivity. To work within the QiC on the new improvement model to enable its aim of continuous quality improvementin services To meet the needs of business development, service development and research departments in the Trust by providing best value resources in the workplace. To enhance recovery and wellbeing through further developing our partnership arrangements & supporting Recovery College. To aid the workforce in its endeavour to be more innovative and receptive to research by enabling their present and future learning, re-validation and CPD needs. Our Priorities Continue to be responsive in refining the literature search service delivery to better meet needs of users Support adherence to the Trusts strategic framework through the work of the Quality and Innovation Centre How we deliver our services Use KLS budget effectively to purchase best value resources Deliver tailored promotions and alerts to meet the needs of all staff and/or specific groups for all KLS resources Design and deliver information skills and research training to equip staff with the skills to locate and use good quality evidence and to facilitate research capacity Be innovative in the way we develop the model for KLS within the Trust through to 2016 ‘Excellent 1:1 training, easy to follow and pitched at the right level’. Staff used the information we provided in 26 searches to support Recovery, Heath and wellbeing. ‘Increased my interest in research relevant to my practice’. After training 90% of people felt confident about carrying out their own search, compared to 5% beforehand.
