  2. The Future Is Predictable “You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels; Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, And the monthly prognosticators Stand up and save you From what shall come upon you.” Isa. 47:13

  3. Men talking at a general store. One man said: “The Bible says the time will come when you can’t tell the seasons except by the budding of the leaves.” Asked brother George DeHoff and he said read Gen. 8:22 "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease."

  4. Battle between Works of Flesh and Fruit of the Spirit “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.” Gal. 5:17 Fruit of the Spirit– Gal.5:22-23 Works of Flesh– Gal.5:19-21 Adultery Fornication Uncleanness Lasciviousness Idolatry Witchcraft Hatred Variance Emulations Wrath Strife Seditions Love Joy Peace Longsuffering Gentleness Goodness Faith Meekness Temperance Heresies Envyings Murders Drunkenness Revellings Such Like

  5. Romans 7:18-23 18. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

  6. The Future Is Predictable Battle between Works of Flesh and Fruit of the Spirit • Battle of sin and righteousness. • It will continue as long as men live on this earth.

  7. No New Church Established with Heaven’s Authority Matt. 16:18-19 18. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

No New Church Established with Heaven’s Authority • Purchased with His blood - Acts 20:28 • All the saved are in it - Acts 2:47 • Daniel prophesied about it. – Daniel 2:44 • Every other church is established without divine authority. • “Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up”. Matt. 15:13

No New Plan of Salvation Will ever be Issued from Heaven The plan given by Jesus will be effective as long as the world stands ! “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Matt. 24:35 “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” John 12:48

No New Revelation Will come from Heaven • The revelation of the Gospel is complete • “…the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints.” Jude 3 • “…all things that pertain unto life and godliness,” 2 Pet. 1:3 • “…unto another gospel which is not another: …. If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Gal. 1:6-9

No New Acts of Worship Will ever be authorized by Heaven • Singing - Eph. 5:19 • Praying - Acts 2:42 • Preaching – Acts 2:42 • Lords Supper - Acts 20:7 • Contribution - 1 Cor. 16:1-2 No others Are Authorized II John 9a “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.”

  13. No New Acts of Worship Will ever be authorized by Heaven • II Tim. 4:1-4 • Preach the word • They will not endure sound doctrine • Turn away their ears from the truth • “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” • Matt. 15:9 • Vain = worthless, to no purpose • Doctrine = instruction, learning • Commandments of men

No Literal reign Of Christ on Earth • When He comes again, the earth will be burned • 2 Pet. 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

  15. No Literal reign Of Christ on Earth • 1 Cor. 15:19-26 • Christ become the first fruits of them that slept • In Christ all shall be made alive • Then cometh the end • Shall have delivered up the kingdom to God • He must reign until he hath put all enemies under his feet • Nothing in the Bible about setting up a new Kingdom with headquarters in Jerusalem. • No scripture that says Christ will ever set foot on this earth again!

  16. The Future Is Predictable • Your future is predictable. • Sinner = eternal punishment in hell • Christian = everlasting life with God in heaven • “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Gal. 6:7-8
