  3. Why did teens have sexual intercourse for the first time ? • Pressure from their partner • Pressure from their friends • Hoping it would make their relationship closer • To be more popular • Thinking they had met the right person • Curiosity and felt mature enough

  4. Sexual Transmitted diseases • HIV/AIDS • Hepatitis B • Hepatitis C virus • Gonorrhea • Syphilis STDs are spread during vaginal, and oral sex.

  5. Birth control • Teen pregnancy is a significant problem in many countries. • In the USA, about 1million teens become pregnant each year. • Having a baby in such a young age causes both physical and psychological problems.

  6. Contraception • Condom • Female condom • The pill • Diaphragm • IUD • The patch • Morning after pill • Spermicidal Condoms are the only ones that protect you from SID.

  7. Nutrition

  8. Good nutrition means... • Eating everything with moderation and according to your needs - a teenager who practices sports has different needs from one who doesn’t; • Including large variety of vegetables in your diet - vegetables provide many of the necessary vitamins and minerals;

  10. Eating fruits (specially raw) - fruits are an important source of vitaminslike A and B; • Eating grains - which are rich in carbohydrates and give us energy. Carbohydrates Energy

Top tips For a healthy summer Eating a balanced diet and keeping fit is the healthy way to summer body. • Always eat breakfast it will kick-start your day and give you lots of energy to take you through to lunch. • Drink plenty of water aim for six to eight glasses of fluids a day to keep you hydrated in the summer heat. • Eat at least five portions of fruit and veg every day always keep some fruit handy in your beach bag for snacking on. • Get active! Make the most of the sunshine by going for a run along the beach or playing rounders with your crew. At least 60 minutes of activity a day will keep you fit as very fit fiddle. • Make meals from scratch get cooking to help you get essential vitamins and minerals.
