AS-i, The Simplest Automation Networking Solution

AS-i (Actuator Sensor interface) is a simple wire reduction system that replaces point-to-point wiring and complements existing higher-level bus systems. It reduces wiring, eliminates multiple termination points, and connects inputs and outputs via a single two-wire flat cable. AS-i is easy to install, commission, and troubleshoot.

  4. Each bit of data needs its own wire. Power is run separately (more wires). Additional I/O points require additional PLC I/O cards. Additional PLC I/O cards may require the use of a larger PLC rack or multiple racks. Point-To-Point Wiring
