  1. 3GPP TSG-RAN5 Meeting #84 R5-19xxxx Ljubljana, Slovenia, 26th Aug 2019 - 30th Aug 2019 Agenda Item : 5.3.5.17 Document for : Information Review on FR2 testability issue NTT DOCOMO, INC.

  2. Status of testability issue • Contributions about FR2 testability issue can be summarized as below. • Observations • ACLR SNR estimation will be required again if RAN4 core requirement is updated during this meeting. • There are 3 contributions about MOP (SC), and all contributions conclude “No relaxation is required”. • Testability issue is newly raised in following TCs which is not listed in LS from RAN Plenary. • OBW, In-band blocking, General Spurious

  3. Comparison of 3GPP with Regulatory body (ARIB) • Observations • Some estimations (highlighted in RED) don’t satisfy acceptable value from ARIB. • It seems that ACLR (relative requirement) is the most critical case since required relaxation much exceeds acceptable value. • NOTE 1 : Required relaxation value depends on “Antenna array assumption” and “test points (MPR)”.

  4. Time plan • In order to complete RAN5 work in time (Nov-2019), it is beneficial to receive reply LSs before RAN5#85. • ARIB : Reply LS is already received in [12]. • FCC : Status? • ETSI : Status? • Questions • If RAN5 (RAN P) doesn’t receive reply LS before RAN5#85, • RAN5 will conclude this topic according to reply LSs which is available then. • RAN5 will not conclude this topic until all the reply LSs are available. (RAN5 work will be delayed.) • When is enough to receive reply LS to prepare RAN5 contributions for Nov meeting? • Deadline for upload is “8th, Nov”.
