Ki-o-rahi • Green team = ki oma • Te Ao and Pawero zones only • Aims • -Protect the tupu • (no more than 3 players). • Score points by touching the pou with the “ki” and THEN running into ‘pawero’ zone • Don’t get caught in Te Roto zone • Red team = taniwha • -Te Ao and Te Roto zone only • Aim: • Get ball from ki oma throw at tupu = 1 point Te Ao Zone Te Roto Zone Pawero Zone Tupu Te Ara Te Marama 44m

Ki-o-rahi Start the game -Kioma throw in to pawero players then out to Te Ao players to start scoring points. -Referee has overall control -3 second rule for ripped tags Restarts -If Kioma score then start from Te Marama -If Taniwha score, ball still alive Te Ao Zone Te Roto Zone Pawero Zone Tupu Te Ara Te Marama 44m
