  1. February 21, 2013 Warm Up: How is your project going? Do you know your jobs? Objective: Students will begin to develop their SM Scripts, and continue to rehearse and develop their performances.

  2. Stage Manager’s Script • The most important script in a production • Contains all blocking, props, costumes, cues, changes and all other information required to perform a play. • The stage managers script is what is published by play publishing companies.

  3. How its set up • On a piece of white 8.5”x11” paper, glue a one sided copy of your script to the middle. • In the new, wide margins, place all of the important information. • On the backsides of pages, you will draw a floor plan that contains blocking and set pieces/changes • A stranger should be able to follow your script to run the show.

  4. What else goes into it • All of your work from your other jobs will be placed in the SMS • A table of contents to show where all of your stuff is. • In a folder, notebook, or some other forms of binding.

  5. Director Jobs • You need to be on top of things! You do not get to set around and lord over your peers! • You will help the actors with the characters, acting, and stage movement • You will help the designers make choices, and assist with placing objects during rehearsal periods.

  6. Designer Jobs • Design both “dream” costumes and sets, and real ones based on what you have available to you. • Assist in rehearsals by setting things up. • Fill in when others are absent

  7. Stage Manager’s Jobs • Keep everyone in line • Fill out the Daily Activity Log and turn in for DAILY GRADES • Fill out SMS • Assist director in blocking and acting choices

  8. Actor’s Jobs • Do your work • Prepare to perform, ACT – for many of you, this is what you wanted to do in the first place so do it! • Be a good team member and take direction
