The three - year MD/MS study is a crucial phase of Medical career • m productivity • This period should be best utilized by every student with maximu in terms of knowledge and skills. • Past experiences suggest that most of the students find it diff icult to acquire the relevant skills relating to Bio statistics, Research proposal submission, - seminar presentation, ethical regulation • The problem is more pronounced for in - service students who after their clinical career often grapple while acclimatizing with the new academic a mbience cular aspect. • Keeping this in view an innovative change is needed in the curri An interdisciplinary foundation program should be incorporated c ommon to all MD/MS study program. Design and Implementation of a Foundation Program towards • The Program should comprise of components on Statistical methods , Basic Fostering Appropriate Skill and Knowledge among MD/MS Students Laboratory investigations, Essentials of Scientific Writing, Bas ic research ethics, Fundamentals of Computers including Internet and navigat ion, life style modification and stress handling .
