  2. WHATCOM COUNTY HISTORY • Whatcom County was created on March 9, 1859 • Geographic features [Cascade Mountains] [Mount Baker] • Whatcom County was discovered by Europeans • Population as of 2000 is 166,814 people • One of only four counties that has a county constitution in the state

  3. SKAGIT COUNTY HISTORY • Skagit county was Discovered on November 28, 1863 • Geographic features [Skagit River] [Cascade Mountains] • Population as off 2000 is 102,979 people • 1998 Mount Vernon Was rated #1 for best small City in America • County seat is at Mount- Vernon

  4. SNOHOMISH COUNTY HISTORY • Discovered on 1860 by E.C.Ferguson and E.F. Cady • Population as of 2000 Is 606,024 people • County seat is at Everett • Geographic features (cascade mountains) (Puget sound)
