  2. When Donald Johanson was born • June 28, 1943 - • Johanson was born in Chicago, Illinois. • As a boy johanson was fascinated by fossils. • 

  3. What is Johanson famous for? • He is an American paleoanthropologist. • he is known for discovering the fossil of a female hominid australopithecine known as "Lucy" in the Afar Triangle region of Hadar, Ethiopia.

  4. Lucy • Lucy was discovered in Hadar, Ethiopia on November 24, 1974, when Johanson, caught the glint of a white fossilized bone out of the corner of his eye, and recognized it as hominid. • A collection of prehistoric hominid teeth and bones that were also discovered in Hadar, Ethiopia, by Johanson's team in 1975.

  5. Education • He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaignin 1966. He earned his master's degree in 1970 in 1974 from the Universityof Chicago. • He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Westfield State College in 2008

  6. The rest of his life • Johanson still remains one of the best and most famous paleoanthropologist on the planet!!! • He has received many awards for hisfindings. • Although he never found dinosaur bones and stuff like that he still found many cool fossils. • Donald johanson has SWAG!!!!!!
