Michigan Public Schools Beating the Odds

This report highlights Michigan public schools that are performing above their predicted levels based on risk factors such as percent economically disadvantaged, percent students with disabilities, percent English language learners, and percent minority. By combining the results of two separate studies, this report identifies 24 schools that have consistently outperformed their predicted outcomes and are beating the odds. The report also provides insights into the key factors that contribute to their success, such as innovative scheduling, collaboration, targeted instruction, and the use of technology. School administrators can use this report to learn from these successful schools and leverage their strategies to improve their own schools.
