Background to Impact Analysis • Donor-funded agricultural support (8 years):- • Inputs, Extension + Training. • Crop (95%) + livestock (5%), with focus change (trends). • Specific objectives:- • Increase agricultural production + productivity. • Improving HH food + nutrition security. • Improving livelihoods + farm incomes. • Data collection:- • Desk review. • Key informant interviews (KIIs). • Focus group discussions (FGDs).

  13. Long-Term Impact • Graduation & dependency (input support):- • 15 – 20% graduation vs. 33% threshold (factors). • 10 – 15% still dependent on external input support (high potential). • 20 – 25% (marginal). • Capacity building still necessary.

  14. Recommendations • Sustainable impact:- • Appropriate region specific interventions e.g. NRs I – III versus NRs IV – V. • Capacity development for new technologies (graduation & sustainability). • Improved targeting (interest, capacity & potential for intensification versusextensification). • Market linkages (input and output) e.g. agro-dealership. • Focus: viable enterprises (market insights) e.g. comparative advantage (VCA & VCD approach).
