  2. Composition: the way that art elements and principles are used to express emotions and ideas. Composition organizes the space and guides the viewer's eye.

  3. Setting Boundaries is called Cropping.

  4. Exerts strong influences on what is arranged inside them. Frames can be objects dominating corners. An Important subject of the photo can be emphasized by surrounding it with some other element. The background can be framed by the foreground.

  5. When we can see what one of the subjects is looking at, the photo is balanced and it's easy for the viewer to identify with the situation and to look at the other focal point. Place space in front of the object oppose to behind.

  6. The closer the subject to the camera, the more shallow the depth of field. • The longer the focal length, the more shallow the depth of field. • The larger the aperture (smaller the F-number), the more shallow the depth of • field. Landscapes use Large depth of field. [ small aperture, slower shutter speed ]

  7. Close up displays details and creates interest.

  8. Don’t try to include EVERYTHING in one picture. Simplicity creates a great composition. Choose one subject, and get in close.

  9. The picture frame is mentally divided in to three parts horizontally and vertically. The main subject of the photograph is then placed in one of the four locations where the lines intersect. • Horizons placed low emphasize the sky. Usually its better to leave more space in front of a subject than behind it.

  11. NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION is usually understood as the process of communication through sending and receiving wordless messages. You will be creating a project based on the theme “OPEN” Open means more than “not being closed in”. -You must compose 5 concepts of the theme. After you construct the concept, create a blue print, drawing out what your concept looks like and describing it.
