Trip Schedule Friday 2nd April - Day 1: Travel to New York Saturday 3rd April – Day 2: New York Sunday 4th April - Day 3: New York Monday 5th April – Day 4: New York in the morning then travel by coach to Washington DC in the afternoon Tuesday 6th April – Day 5: Washington DC Wednesday 7th April – Day 6: Washington DC Thursday 8th April – Day 7: Washington DC in the morning and travel through the night Friday 9th April – Day 8: Arrive at Heathrow at 07:05

  3. Itinerary: Day 1 – Friday 2nd 09:30 – Meet at college for an 10am departure 13:00 – Arrive at Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 17:15 – Depart Heathrow Airport – Flight Number VS9 20:10 – (US time) Arrive JFK Airport Transfer to Wolcott Hotel, New York Free time – students to settle into rooms

  4. Itinerary: Day 2 – Saturday 3rd 09:00 – Day sightseeing on foot to include Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Empire State Building and Observatory, World Trade Centre site and Times Square 17:00 – Return to hotel 19:30: Meal at Planet Hollywood, Times Square

  5. Itinerary: Day 3 – Sunday 4th 10:00 – Self guided visit to Guggenheim Museum 14:30 – NBC Studio Tour Free time in Central Park 19:00 – Orpheneum theatre: 41 students and 3 teachers to see STOMP! Remaining students will go for a meal accompanied by teachers

Itinerary: Day 4 – Monday 5th 08:30 – Check out of hotel 09:00 – Visit to American Museum of Moving Image in Astoria, Queens. 12:00 - Transfer to Washington DC by coach 16:00 – Arrive at hotel in Washington DC 19:00 – Verizon Centre: 47 students and 4 teachers to see Washington V Boston for the Ice Hockey game Remaining students will go for a meal accompanied by teachers

  7. Itinerary: Day 5 – Tuesday 6th 08:30 – Continental breakfast in the hotel included in price AM: Self guided tour of Washington DC. We will be visiting the US Capitol Building, The White House, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, The Mall and the Washington Monument PM: Visit to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum 19:30: Meal at the Hard Rock Café

  8. Itinerary: Day 6 – Wednesday 7th 08:30 – Continental breakfast in the hotel 09:00 – Visit the International Spy Museum PM – Visit the National Zoo Evening meal at location to be confirmed Free time

  15. What’s not included? • The cost of the trip DOES NOT include meals, snacks and drinks. • Food costs approx £200

  16. The cost • £935 should have now been paid. Any outstanding payments must be paid this evening. • If your son/daughter is going to the theatre or ice hockey game or would like a hoodie this needs to also be paid this evening. • Theatre: £33 • Ice Hockey: £48 • Hoodie: £19.50

  17. Spending Money • Students are advised to be sensible with the money they take for spending. • Students are solely responsible for looking after there spending money, unless, should they wish, they complete the following. • Students divide spending money into daily allowances and place this money into separate envelopes, with their name, amount enclosed, and the day this money is allocated for clearly stated. • These envelopes will then be placed into the appropriate hotel safety deposit box for safe keeping. • Students will be asked to select the envelope they need at the beginning of each day.

  18. Hoodies • Hoodies cost £19.50 • You can choose ‘Full Zip’ or ‘Pullover’ style hoodie • Must be ordered this evening • Choose size, wording of name to be printed to the back and style

Baggage Allowance Each passenger may take one standard piece of hand luggage to a maximum weight of 6kgs with dimensions of less than 23x36x56cm (including wheels, handles, etc.) and two pieces of check in luggage weighing no more than 23kg. When added together, the three dimensions of any piece of luggage must not exceed 158cm. Travel Insurance This is included in the travel company’s group booking. We also have a college insurance travel policy that will cover students on this trip. Medication Students are responsible to ensure that all necessary medication is in date and students have this with them on the trip. We recommend that students provide secondary inhalers and epi-pens for staff to have in the event of an emergency. Other Info
