Commercial Making Process. My 8 th Grade Project By: Megan Blount. September. I visited a studio and watched the process of a set being built. I was given terminology that I had to look up myself. I sat with my mentor and explained all of the stuff that I already know about filming.

  1. Commercial Making Process My 8th Grade Project By: Megan Blount

  2. September • I visited a studio and watched the process of a set being built. • I was given terminology that I had to look up myself. • I sat with my mentor and explained all of the stuff that I already know about filming

  3. Terminology • Director- A person who is in charge of an activity, department, or organization • Assistant Director- A person who helps the filmmaker in the making of a movie or television show • Production coordinator- Aunionized position in stagecraft • Production Designer- a term used in the film industry and television to refer to the person responsible for the overall look • Craft Service-In film, television or video production, crafts service or crafty refers to the department which provides food services to the other workers

  4. November • I showed my mentor the terminology so that he can correct me on my mistakes. • My mentor showed me how the camera works and he showed me all of the buttons

  5. December • I went to an actual movie set to see the process of how an actual movie is actually made called the Traveler • I learned the distance between what an assistant director and the actual director. • I learned the different responsibilities between a director and an assistant director.

  7. January • I came up with a story treatment. A story treatment is a rough idea of the story. • I learned what a story treatment is and the importance of it.

  8. February • I got to experience the world of converts and what goes on behind the scenes. • I learned the different lights that film world and the concert world uses.

  9. March • I made up the script of the commercial. • I had to figure out who would play the role of all the parts in my commercial. • I had to find perfect scenes to film my commercial. • I had to figure out a perfect time to shoot my scenes so that there would be perfect lighting.

  10. April • April is when I finally filmed my commercial. • I learned how to film the commercial and how to properly hold it. • I learned how to edit the recording • This is a picture of me editing the clips.
